About Vastu Shastra

The word 'Vastu' is derived from the Sanskrit term 'Vas niwase', which means a habitable place. Vastu is closely related to Astrology — it can be seen as a branch of it. Understanding the alchemy of the space around you is Vastu. In simple words, your way of living directly affects your health, wealth and relationships. Every space, inside a building or outside it, has a specific purpose. All nine planets govern the nine main directions, so Astro is directly related to Vastu. We divide every space into 16 zones plus one Brahmsthan, each governing a particular aspect of life; these zones are strengthened or weakened by the activities performed there and by the objects, colours and elements linked with them. It is always beneficial to apply this knowledge in accordance with time, place and circumstance. At Numerojyotish we add one more thing — the need-fulfilment of a person, and target-based Vastu — because by reading an individual's charts we know the problematic zones where remedies are required. Vastu can never change your destiny, but it can change your mindset during tough times, as it is the one thing that can be altered. What we check: complete analysis through Astro and Numero; work on degrees, as every space has a different degree (sometimes even within a 1 km radius); 16 directions and zones and their lords; the five elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space; 32 entries based on the angular division of the building's map; and all major activities such as the kitchen, pooja sthan, bedrooms and toilets. After an accurate diagnosis we begin remedial work, offering problem-specific remedies applicable to any size and shape. Modern architecture is moving towards urban housing where many flats are irregular in shape.
